The mold was constructed in Italy from Latex with a plaster support mold. We picked up the process in the Netherlands and first applied a number of layers of Shell Shock, a brushable PU Plastic, followed by Plasti-Paste, also a PU plastic but then spatulable and provided with PET fibers After curing (usually a day), the images were reinforced with metal wires and the two castings were glued together with even more Plasti-Paste The pipes for the water system were placed and the cavities in the images were filled with hard PU foam. The bottom of the images were then sealed watertight. After applying a primer, the images were sprayed with a high-gloss car paint in the colors red, yellow, blue green, black and white; the colors of the Dutch flag and those of Cameroon - the artist's country of origin.
